If you book/booked both through qantas you shouldn’t have any problem connecting the two and checking bags all the way through.

If you are checked in all the way to Paris (ie. Bags checked through), highly recommend leaving the airport - try and stick to a back pack and go have brunch somewhere - go down to Venice and have something to eat and get some fresh(ish) air and sun....Otherwise, I would recommend paying for loun...

It is becoming very clear that the partners Qantas has nowadays just arent cutting it, and actually VA is doing much better.With QF releasing basically zero availability to and from europe, and their partners also not releasing much... time to move to VA!
